The basics
What are Lift, Gamma and Gain?

Lift
Affects the darkest parts of the image, the shadows. Used to raise or crush the blacks, or to tint the shadows.

Gamma
Controls the midtones. Skin tones and the overall mood of a scene are mostly shaped here.
- 03
Gain
Handles the highlights and whites. The warmth of the light and the "air" of an image are felt most through gain.
